There is this girl I know. Her name is Melanie, but she introduces herself as Mel to almost everyone (unless she is angry). She has a love-hate relationship with her hair, is addicted to tea and can never get enough sleep. 

While she completely acknowledges that in comparison to the hardships of others, her life is not.that.tough, she also acknowledges the following:
- A lipstick can improve an outfit and a mood
- The best way to learn about the world and adapt to change is to get out and explore. 
- There is nothing wasteful about spending hours watching television or reading a book.
